Saturday, February 11th or Saturday March 10th
Starts at 10 AM to 4 PM One day class! Tuition, $100. We cover the
basics of the adjustments which your digital or film camera offers. The Saturday
class is condensed to one day!
Evening Class offered on Wednesday, February 15th to 29th, 2012..................................Evening classes will meet once a week from 7:15 PM to 9:25
PM, tuition of $145. covers the three weeks.We cover the fundamentals of photography, basic settings of your camera, menu panel set up of your camera, advance use and control of the shutter speed and f-stop utilizing all of the various operational modes which your camera offers, composition for creative and dynamic photographs. Assignments will be completed by participants during the weeks between classes. Call to reserve your place with a
deposit.

How to use your camera! Great for all adjustable cameras - either film
or digital! Making better photographs comes from both a creative idea and the
ability to use the controls on your camera to make them happen! We cover all of
the functions of the camera in detail from the basics to give each class
participant a better understanding of how photography in general, and their
camera specifically, works. We will discuss creative composition and the visual
dynamics of good photography. Bring your camera and questions! Call if you are
not sure if your camera is sufficient for the instructions.

Bill Gillespie has
been running the Photography Center of Atlanta for eighteen years. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from East Tennessee State University and did Graduate studies in the Art Department of Ball State University in Indiana. Previously
he has taught in Atlanta at Spruill Arts Center, and was previously the Instructor
of Photography for Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee.

will meet from 10 AM to 4 PM with time off for lunch.
Payment Options. You can pre-pay for the class when you register. You can also register with a $50. deposit with the balance due the first class. Classes are kept small so that each participant will receive individual attention and have time to have questions answered.
This class is suitable for those using Advanced Digital Single Lens Reflex

The Art of the Darkroom, Film Photography in Black and White.............
Black and White Darkroom - Thursday February 23rd to March 15th (open Lab Saturday March 3rd, 11-4). For artists working in the medium of silver imaging!
The Art of the Darkroom. What makes the quality of a Silver Gelatin Print shine above digital ink or color dye prints. We will work with Film Cameras and Negatives, and explore creating better photographs in the darkroom. From Beginning to Advanced. We will discuss black and white developing and printing on the introduction session on Feb. 23. Students should bring one or two rolls of film for developing that night, call to inquire as to acceptable films. We will explore the art of making the fine art black and white print, toning, printing controls (burning, dodging, pre-flashing, special filters, contrast filters) working to refine the subtle qualities that make a high quality print. Tuition $160. - includes most chemistry and other needed equipment.

We have a new family portrait option for the photographer without a
studio - STUDIO rental! We will have the studio set up, bring your family,
model, and camera and shoot away! Wow! Great fun and a great way to get the
professional portraits that you can shoot only if you have the right set up! Use
Ours!

Portrait Studio Rental

Rental Studio
We can offer our rental studio with electronic flash lighting for rental use
when available. Studio rental is only $25 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. We can
offer a "family portrait" special if you want to bring in your family - we will
set up the studio, give you exposure and setting assistance and let you go to
work! Call in advance. A short visit to the studio before hand, with the camera
that you will be using, is required.
Photo Restoration
Expert restoration of your family
photographs. Repair before more damage and fading to preserve your
families photographic heritage. Share one of a kind images with brothers,
sisters, and cousins! We reproduce old black and white images in a way to
replicate the originals! Family photographs make great gifts for your
relatives!

Photographers interested in the special characteristics of the fine art print are learning or returning to the darkroom to create the finest prints possible. Take advantage of our conventional tray process
black and white darkroom on Saturdays in 2011. Call in advance to schedule time.
Rate for darkroom rental is only $15 per hour. Basic black and white chemicals
and equipment are provided, bring your own black and white paper! We will give
assistance to remind you of the basics. Some experience in the darkroom is
required, this is not a class, but you will have some help! We do offer tutorials in darkroom work, call!

30324 Nearby to I-85, I-75, and 400. For travelers on I-75 or I-85 Northbound,
Exit on Buford Highway/Monroe/Piedmont on I-85 North (just after the split of
I-75 & I-85), go down the ramp and immediately take next exit at Monroe
Drive, turn left at the light, go one block to light where you will go straight
(over Piedmont), the road you are on after crossing Piedmont is Cheshire Bridge
Rd, and we are the third building on the right. From I-85 South bound, exit at
Lenox Rd / Cheshire Bridge Rd and turn left onto Cheshire Bridge, travel 1 1/2
miles and we are on the left. From I-75 traveling south, just after the Howell
Mill / Northside Drive Exit there will be a left lane exit to I-85 North, take
that exit and follow the instructions for I-85 Northbound. Convenient
Parking!
